About

Hi there! Thanks for coming.  I think an awful lot and let you know about it here..

I have a B.S. in Music Therapy from Slippery Rock University. I do a little of that.  But I found that I really always wanted to write. I’ve recently published my first juvenile book, written for the 9-14 age range. You can find more about Macie’s Guide to the Odd, Strange, Bizarre, Unique, Unexplained and Twisted: The Power Awakened here.

I do a lot of writing.  Eventually you realize that not everyone wants to hear what you are speaking all the time.  But, they might stop and read what you have to say some of the time. And, every so often words might inspire action and that is always the hope with many of the posts that go up on this blog.

Writing, reading , raising children, failing in some relationships, flourishing in others, volunteering and being a part of my social communities both IRL and online led me to this blog. I see the good in people.  I believe that the human spirit wants to be positive.

I do not post every day. I do post at least once a week; sometimes more often. If I don’t have something worthwhile to say, I’m not going to waste your time. Feel free to link me up to a feel good or positive story if you have one and want me to add my perspective.  Celebrate the good in us!  Subscribers are more appreciated than I can convey in words.

I do a lot of work as a correspondent for Pittsburgh On Video. I occasionally guest as an interviewer when I find a good subject to share for the non-profit online news show, Unsung- found on Pittsburgh On Video and pctv. I highlight a lot of the non-profit orgs in the Pittsburgh area.  I post often here about them. If you are a part of a non-profit and would like me to share your cause here, please email me ” atmcb1219@gmail.com “

I live near and play in Pittsburgh PA.
